If you’ve been diagnosed with high blood pressure, checking it at home between visits can help you and your care team understand how well your plan is working.

Getting an accurate reading

  • Sit quietly for five minutes before measuring
  • Keep both feet flat on the floor and your arm supported at heart level
  • Take two readings a minute apart and record both
  • Measure around the same times each day

When to call us
