It’s easy to skip a check-up when nothing feels wrong. But many of the most common health conditions — high blood pressure, high cholesterol, early diabetes — develop quietly, without symptoms, for years.
What a yearly visit can catch early
An annual visit gives your provider a chance to spot small changes before they become bigger problems. Regular screenings, a quick physical exam, and a conversation about how you’re feeling can reveal a lot.
It builds a relationship
Just as important, seeing the same care team each year means they get to know your history, your goals, and what “normal” looks like for you. That context makes every future visit more useful.
If it’s been more than a year since your last check-up, consider this your reminder to schedule one.
